First Days - August 2013

Ah, the first days back at school. You would think that most kids wouldn’t be all too thrilled about this day but both of my boys were pretty excited to be going back. You can only take so much of being lazy and doing absolutely nothing, right? Enoch went back on Monday, Travis went back on Friday. At the time, Travis was still going to preschool for just one day a week. In November, we switched to three days a week.

Enoch was really excited to be wearing his Iron Patriot jacket to school this fine morning! And the shorts, I love it when its warm enough for them to wear shorts to school, they just look so cute in them! Enoch has really made great leaps and bounds in reading, writing, spelling, math, and geography this year! He LOVES math and science. Reading really isn’t his forte but he’s gotten so much better at it which has really increased his grades. His grades weren’t exactly lacking, mostly a b+ average student but now he’s making A’s in all areas. He’s so awesome and he’s such a hard worker. Enoch is pretty great! Love him!

So this day was Enoch’s first day in Second Grade. He was pretty excited about it. He was assigned two of the coolest teachers in the school, and he was very excited to work with them. He has really enjoyed Mrs. Rosenthal and Mrs. O’dell this year. They have been awesome with him!! Love them!

And Travis. What a kid! He loved preschool so much last year that we couldn’t help but enroll him again! Lucky kid, getting TWO years of preschool! Wow. He really loves his teachers, Ms Joan & Ms Wendy. He loves the activities he gets to join in on, all the projects he makes, learning his letters, seeing his friends Adriana, Jude, Mayan, Xenona, Wyatt, Pearl, & Joshua, playing on the playground when it hasn’t snowed, eating fun snacks and have Ice cream Sundae parties almost once a month. He’s growing up too fast for me!

I’m serious, we are in TROUBLE when these two start dating. I’ll have to start setting up electrical fencing around our house. Jeez.
