Doing all of these Summertime posts is really making me miss the summer weather. If anyone complains about the heat this summer after the icy cold winter we’ve had here, I may just pinch them. Its February 19th right now and I just can’t help but feel like May 23rd is JUST around the corner. That’s the boys’ last day of school. I am SO excited. I can’t wait for no school, lazy days in the warm weather, going to the parks, playgrounds, the zoo, the butterfly pavilion, hanging out with friends in the backyard, bah!! I miss warm weather! Haha. Any who, back to my blog catch up!
This was SUCH a fun day. I had heard so many people tell me about Belleview park and how fun and cute it was. I really have no idea why it took us so long to go!! Lindsey invited us to Pirates Cove this fine summer morning only to find out that it wasn’t open on Friday mornings after a certain date. We were pretty bummed but then realized Belleview park was right next door, they practically share a parking lot! So we decided to “settle” for Belleview. Needless to say, we weren’t settling at all, it was awesome. The stream is usually more of a trickle I guess but since the flooding had occurred earlier that month, the stream was more of a tiny, muddy river! The boys LOVED it! They had so much fun. Although, when we first got there, Enoch got right into the water, WITH HIS SHOES ON, and his little slipper took off down the river. We chased it for a ways down but finally caught it. He was pretty distraught when it left him but was very happy to have it returned.
Lindsey and I attempted to catch some sun rays while the kids played. It was fun relaxing and chatting with her, she is SUCH a fun girl!! And she is always on the go, doing fun things and making fun things for her kids. She is such an inspiration to me!! I just love her and all she does. She’s an awesome mom to her kids, a loving, doting wife to her hubby, and a great friend. Her husband is Joe’s current executive secretary at church and keeps Joe well organized! He’s awesome. Our little families have just clicked and they have been a wonderful blessing in our lives.
Travis & Porter are buddies!! They’re both pretty passionate little people so they butt heads every now and then but they make up pretty quickly and move on to the next adventure together. I love watching them play and listening to them talk to each other.
Trying to figure out some ninja/karate moves
I love the tongue of concentration from Trav!
Here we go!!
Yeah buddy!
Hehe, goofy goobers!
Love these boys! Enoch joined in and looked like he was doing some dance moves.
Hi-Ya!!
End pose.
The boys got to ride the train at the park as well, so fun! It was hard to get FOUR kids to look at you and smile. I can’t imagine what it would have been like if Brooklynn had sat in on this photo!
Cute kids! I love Enoch’s gap tooth look!
The boys!! Ready for an amazing ride.
Me & Gwen!
Love these two girls! Aren’t they just the cutest??
Enjoying a relaxing ride after a fun afternoon.
