15 weeks

I had my 15 week check up yesterday. It went pretty well. I dropped 2 pounds because I’ve been so sick which is not cool but the Doctor said fluctuating weight right now is totally normal. Especially since I’ve been sick. She measured my uterus and it’s the right size for 15 weeks but since my torso is so long, it basically absorbs my uterus, hence the reason I can’t SEE it yet. : ( I also got to hear the heartbeat this time, it sounded great! 140-149 beats per minute. Totally awesome.

I’m still pretty sick and I feel it the most in the morning, midday and then in the evening just after dinner usually. I’ve started taking unisom & b6 at night just before bedtime and that has really helped me sleep and cut down on the nausea. Once I wake up in the morning I have to take a Zofran right away or I’ll regret it. Some days are much worse and I’ll have to take a total of 3 Zofran for the day.

Pretty much everyone is saying that this is a girl since I’m SO sick but then everyone back pedals once I tell them how sick I was with Travis. My Mom was just as sick with all four of her kids, 3 girls and 1 boy. I think I just got the sick gene for pregnancy. No worries, I will be happy either way! It’s a baby! Who cares what the sex is. : )

This baby is already a mover and a shaker. I feel movement everyday, at different times of the day too. Very active little person. Its just the best feeling on earth. The human body is amazing!

Enoch is still pretty pumped about this baby and often kisses my tummy. Travis is not so excited. He keeps saying it’s a boy and its name is Travis and its in HIS tummy. Bonnie bought a pink outfit the other day to “sway” me (because I have all the power in this you know) and Travis had a cow. “Its NOT a girl! It’s a boy! I HATE girl stuff! I hate it!”. Gotta love that kid.

The ultrasound is set for August 20th, just around the corner! My 24 week visit is in September. Fun stuff!

Until then! Signing off…

The Frump Watch

I'm 15 weeks tomorrow. I'm still not showing. Many people would be jealous of this fact but honestly, I'd like to have the bump, for sympathy at least! And I love to dress the bump, it's so much fun! So since I have no bump, I have the frump. I'm in my second trimester and I'm still dealing with the morning sickness woes so I have no desire to dress myself up at all during the week. I feel pretty great about myself if I've showered and put new yoga pants on for the day. That's a good day! Don't judge!

Quite a few people have seen my frumpiness. Most of the time, I'm either in PJ pants and a shirt that belongs to my husband or I'm just wearing the good 'ol brown bathrobe. Yep, I'm the frumpster preggers in the brown bathrobe.

Most days, I'm right in sync with Miss Alicia here.
And yes, to answer your question, I have answered the door wearing very similar outfits and hair. (insert Chewbacca sound here)

I wish I had a stylist and tons of money to be able to look like Miss Cruz during my second trimester.

I am eagerly awaiting the near end of my second trimester so I can stop feeling so green all the time and actually have the energy to dress myself. My kids are lucky to be fed more than twice a day, bless their hearts. I am keeping the laundry clean but that's about as far as it goes. It stays in a clean pile in a basket and we dig for things. I'm so sorry!
Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing. ; )

father's day

My posts are a little out of order but that's okay.

Joe had a good father's day, if I do say so myself. I didn't make it to church that Sunday because of Baby Doxey but Enoch did and he sang his little heart out for his Dad during sacrament. He was so excited to sing for his Dad. Then he was able to sit with Joe on the pulpit for the remainder of sacrament I think. Enoch was thrilled.

Joe was treated to three new suits and two new church shirts. You'd think a guy would be bummed to get something like suits and shirts for father's day but Joe was a like a kid at Christmas! He loves him a good suit. He looks pretty darn sharp in them too.

Later that day we had a father's day dinner/birthday dinner for Enoch and Joe. We had family over so it was quaint but I don't think my sick pregnant self could have done much more of a party. The food was delish and the family was fun.

We're so blessed to have Joe as the patriarch in our little family. He is one of the strongest men I know and I love him dearly. He is so kind and understanding, loving and gentle. He also has a firm foundation in our gospel and a strong spirit. I love that he's my husband and that I get to spend eternities with him. He is the love of my life and my eternity.

Thank you for everything you do Joe.
Happy Fathers Day

Happy 4th!

Fourth of July was spent pretty lazily this year. Our city's fireworks were cancelled due to the fires. Joe and I had been invited to a friend's cook out which would have been amazing but sadly, Joe was still sore and this kiddo decided to make me heave my stomach all day.

We alternated napping, we watched movies and DVR shows on the couch, everyone else ate wonderful food while I snacked on things that didn't make me nauseous and the boys played until they could no longer play.

Happy 4th of July everyone, especially to those who serve our country and those who helped us make this country free in the first place and those who still fight for us to continue to be free. Freedom and Liberty = the best gifts you could give someone.

How our 4th looked:
