15 weeks

I had my 15 week check up yesterday. It went pretty well. I dropped 2 pounds because I’ve been so sick which is not cool but the Doctor said fluctuating weight right now is totally normal. Especially since I’ve been sick. She measured my uterus and it’s the right size for 15 weeks but since my torso is so long, it basically absorbs my uterus, hence the reason I can’t SEE it yet. : ( I also got to hear the heartbeat this time, it sounded great! 140-149 beats per minute. Totally awesome.

I’m still pretty sick and I feel it the most in the morning, midday and then in the evening just after dinner usually. I’ve started taking unisom & b6 at night just before bedtime and that has really helped me sleep and cut down on the nausea. Once I wake up in the morning I have to take a Zofran right away or I’ll regret it. Some days are much worse and I’ll have to take a total of 3 Zofran for the day.

Pretty much everyone is saying that this is a girl since I’m SO sick but then everyone back pedals once I tell them how sick I was with Travis. My Mom was just as sick with all four of her kids, 3 girls and 1 boy. I think I just got the sick gene for pregnancy. No worries, I will be happy either way! It’s a baby! Who cares what the sex is. : )

This baby is already a mover and a shaker. I feel movement everyday, at different times of the day too. Very active little person. Its just the best feeling on earth. The human body is amazing!

Enoch is still pretty pumped about this baby and often kisses my tummy. Travis is not so excited. He keeps saying it’s a boy and its name is Travis and its in HIS tummy. Bonnie bought a pink outfit the other day to “sway” me (because I have all the power in this you know) and Travis had a cow. “Its NOT a girl! It’s a boy! I HATE girl stuff! I hate it!”. Gotta love that kid.

The ultrasound is set for August 20th, just around the corner! My 24 week visit is in September. Fun stuff!
