A Week of Enoch

Enoch came flying down the hallway, rushing around the corner and ran into the bedroom door which he bounced off of, spun around and smacked his nose and mouth on the door jam of the bathroom. YIKES! Mom watched the whole thing happen in slow motion so she sat Enoch on the toilet seat and grabbed some toilet paper and just waited for the blood to come out of the nose. Mom did this so fast that Enoch hadn't even begun crying yet. So, he cried for a minute and then the blood came running out. As you can see below, he had a little bit of bruising on his nose and a fat upper lip.

Here, Enoch is enjoying the life of luxury - Watching tv with Mom & Dad.

Enoch recently discovered that he could remove his own diaper. Luckily, it was a clean diaper. He also feels totally comfortable in just his socks.

TAGGED! 7 of my Favorite Things

I was TAGGED by Becca!!!

Whenever Oprah does her ‘Favorite Things’ show, I am always curious about the things she chooses and why. The best part of her ‘Favorite Things’ show is that she shares them with others! Well, the other day I thought to myself, “I don’t have to be Oprah to have ‘Favorite Things’. I started to think about the day to day things that I have or use that bring me some form of enjoyment. I thought it would be interesting to find out the ‘Favorite Things’ of my friends and family too. So here it goes…If money were not an issue and you wanted to load up a basket of your most ‘Favorite Things’ and give it to your friends, what would you choose and why? During your day to day life, are there things that you use each day that make you smile or feel good? Is there something that you look forward to everyday? It can be something simple, like the type of pen you use or something big like the type of car you drive. I will list my ‘Things’ and then I will tag a few of you to do the same thing. Here they are in no particular order...

1. My Husband Joe and my Son Enoch. I look forward to each and every day that I get to spend with these guys. There isn't one day that goes by without them making me laugh. I love them!
2. Ralph by Ralph Lauren - Scent for Women. LOVE IT!
3. My new Digital SLR by Canon. I have no idea how I lived without it before!!!!
4. Amazing Shoes! I am a Shoe Whore. I will totally admit it. I just love them!
6. My Chi Hair Straightener!!! Couldn't live without it.7. Our Scion xB!!! It gets great gas mileage, it's roomy and compact all at the same time and Joe can fit in it!

Jammin' With Daddy

Enoch is just so entertaining. Joe was playing his guitar one day and Enoch loved the drums! So he started jammin' out with Joe. Priceless!

My Boys Have Been Sick!

So, a few weeks ago Enoch was sick but only had a fever. The fever did hit 105 twice but only stayed at that temp for twenty minutes each time. By the third day of having a fever, we finally gave in and went to the Doctor. We had been administering Tylenol which relieved his fever for a few hours and then it just popped right back up. The Doctors couldn't tell us anything (surprise, surprise) because his flu test came back negative. He is up to date on his flu shots, BTW. So, we sat in the Doctor's office for four hours. YES, that's right, four hours. They did the flu test and once that came back negative they sent us to the lab to get a blood test. This was no finger prick people. They had to take it from the vein. Enoch was NOT happy. But he did get a Lightning McQueen sticker once it was all over with so he left the nurses with some blown kisses.
Once they finished the blood test, we went back to our room and they then gave him two shots of antibiotics in case it was a bacterial infection. They sent us home with a scheduled appointment for the next morning.
So the next day, we pay another copay for Enoch's Doctor to tell us that Enoch had the flu but since he had his flu shots, he was stuck with only one symptom. So I was to keep up on the Tylenol if his temp stayed above 101. And the blood work did come back negative for a bacterial infection so the kid wasn't even contagious!

Enoch was over it probably on the 5th or 6th day. Then that weekend, Joe got sick. He has a horrible cough and a sinus infection. JOY. Normally, when Joe gets sick, he's sick for a day or two, and then he's fine. This cold has stuck with him for almost 3 weeks now. YIKES. And he's actually had to take a few days off from work. That's never fun. Plus, it doesn't help that he's working nights 3 or 4 times a week. Not healthy. So, Joe is still not feeling 100%.

Get Well Soon Joe!

Enoch's Cheesey Puff

Enoch fell asleep last night while snacking on Cheesey Puffs. This was just too fun to pass up.

Natalie's New Camera!

I have to be the luckiest person! Joe bought me a new digital SLR camera for my birthday!!! YAH! SO OF COURSE I had to take tons of pictures of Enoch to make sure I absolutely loved it! And I did, duh. =) So I am sharing some of the photos with you to show you just how amazing this beautiful piece of machinery is. =) And the fact that Enoch is just a stud makes it so much more fun. Enjoy!
