Family Photos 2013

We had our family photos taken last month by this wonderful guy:

And I have to say, by far, these family photos have to be my favorite. Will has amazing photo skills, love his editing style and his laid back personality and the way he can get my boys to smile… like, really smile. You could say we’re comfortable with Will. He’s done our family photos three times now, these last two were two years in a row. All have been fantastic. But what sticks out to me the most with this most recent session, our family is complete. We just look and feel complete, right? It fits, the Five of Us. Two Gals and Three Guys. Just enough softness and girliness to add to the mix of rough & tumble, nitty gritty but also soft and kind manliness that my guys are.

So thank you, Will Brawn, for capturing my Complete Family in the most beautiful way possible. We are so grateful for your talents and your family’s friendship. Here’s to many more years!

Christmas Day Eve…

We did Christmas Day Eve at my parent’s house this year. It was a lot of fun and really laid back. We had two new babies in the family so there was plenty to be happy about. Everyone got a turn with each baby! They’re both just so sweet. Gaius is 2 weeks older than Gwen so its fun to compare. Gaius is definitely a boy though and is growing like a weed. :)

This is my super fashionable and sweet niece Hayley opening her gift. I tried to get at least one picture of each family member opening a gift since we took turns.

Dad is really loving these new grandbabies. He asked for a photo op with both. SO cute! Gwen’s hat is from Grandmom, it came with a hat box! I’ll have to post a picture of that cute little thing.

 

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Morn…

We had a White Christmas and it was beautifully perfect. Christmas this year was a little bittersweet, our last Christmas in this house with Joe’s family. We will cherish the memories we have made with them in their home.

The tree the morning of… Santa came!

Gwen snoozed through the entire event… Even slept halfway through the day. She is such a sweet little girl, a good sleeper, an awesome eater and a wonderful blessing.

Travis was a little frustrated about waiting to get out to the living room. We were waiting for Tutu Nui to come out first. The boys did sleep in until 8:30, it was wonderful!

Enoch is a really good sleeper now. It wasn’t always like that but we’re grateful that he’s switched gears, except for school mornings.

Travis was pretty pumped about Blades the Rescue Bot, cutest Transformer show ever!

Enoch was so happy to get 10,000 BC on blu ray, he LOVES the Mammoths in it.

Thrilled to get his very own “cross” stick!!! He loves playing Lacrosse with his Dad and they play pretty often.

Checking out their new dragons they asked Santa for, they are pretty realistic if you can call them that since they’re mythical creatures. Notice Enoch has his lacrosse glove on.

Bonnie was given this doll when she was pregnant with Joe so its more than 30 years old. She gifted it to Gwen.

Trav is the only one with his game face on here! The other two are just too excited!

Travis was a lot of fun to watch this year, he was SO focused while opening presents. Enoch was just thrilled and ripped through everything so quick. Travis still had about five gifts to go once Enoch was done.

He got a karaoke machine to sing Justin Beiber!!!

He needed a new spiderman jacket, the other was getting way too small but he insisted on wearing it all the time.
