One of the many fun things about not being in school yet, is you get to meet Dad for lunch every so often.

Baby Chicks!
We have Stripes & Sally but we got them from the Hortons as adults and we really wanted more chickens. The city of Aurora allows you to have a total of four chickens in your backyard so we ordered some chicks online! The smallest order for our area was three chicks so we figured we would sell the third when it was old enough. We ordered a Black Polish for Joe who named her Pollito. Then we ordered two Silver Laced Wyandottes for Travis and I! We named them Sadie & Porter.
Our package arrived on September 9th! And let me tell you, it was SO much fun to pick up a peeping package from the airport! And opening that package was the best!! They were SO tiny, fuzzy, and adorable!!! Just the cutest little things you ever did see!
The boys were at school when the girls arrived so Gwen and I were the only ones at home to welcome them.
They were so fun!!
Pollito, Porter, and Sadie!!!

Fall Lacrosse
Ah, fall lacrosse. We love spring lacrosse but the weather always seems to be nice and warm for fall lacrosse. We always get rained on in the spring and its super cold. Welcome to spring time in Colorado! Enoch has really enjoyed playing lacrosse with Coach Bliss. He’s great with the kids and he’s really instilled a love and joy for the game.
These are just photos from practice. Every now and then I’ll pull out the big camera for lacrosse events.
Gwenevere
Gwen and I have fun at home with the camera sometimes. I like to practice and she loves to be the subject. She’s sweeter than that cinnamon roll she’s eating! Love this little sweetie of mine!

Raingutter Regatta
Enoch has really loved being in Scouts this year and he’s really enjoyed his Scout Leader Sister Pinky Zaremba. She’s made scouts just so much fun for these boys! This was Enoch’s first Raingutter Regatta and he had a lot of fun.
Enoch painted the boat itself and his Dad designed the sail.
Our distinguished Raingutter Regatta Attendee
Love this kid.
Travis wanted to be in a photo too! Like his too small Spidey jacket?
And then there’s Gwen, not giving a hoot about any boat.

Back to School!
First day back at school 2014! Both of the boys were super excited to be going back to school! Well, this was the first day of KINDERGARTEN for Travis!!! So I think Enoch was really the most excited about having his brother at school with him, finally! Travis was thrilled to be going to all day school! He really loved pre-k and wanted to be there all the time and not just three days a week. All day kindergarten was awesome for him! Enoch was excited to be starting 3rd grade!!!
My tiny kindergartner!!!
Mr. Big Third Grader!
They were pumped!
Travis hung his backpack proudly under his name tag.
This was the look he gave me because he was SO ready for me to leave and let him start his day.
Seflie with Mom!
Enoch didn’t want a photo taken of him at his desk but he did let me hug & kiss him so I was happy with that. He was really excited about his big day in 3rd grade!
And this is how Gwen looked when I got home. She was ready to have the TV and the snacks ALL to herself!! She was in heaven.
She truly knows how to kick back.
Happy faces at the end of the day is a great sign! Everyone had a great first day at school!! Love these kids of mine!

Ah, Gwen
I truly don’t remember why I dropped the kids off with my sister for a few hours but that’s beside the point. The point of this post is how hilarious Gwen is. Everyone knows, when she doesn’t like someone or is meeting someone new for the very first time, she closes her eyes to ignore you. It never fails. She knows Alana. Alana was at her birth for crying out loud. But Gwen was being shy when she was hanging out with Alana this particular night and it was just too funny. She spent the entire time glued to Enoch. And when she wasn’t glued to Enoch…
This is how she would interact with Alana… by covering her face and eyes and hiding from her. TOO FUNNY!!! Alana had a very entertaining night with Gwen for sure!

Bag Balm Bizarre
We use Bag Balm for diaper rashes because its simply amazing. Nothing else worked when Enoch had his first poopy diaper at 6 months, and his diaper rash was so awful it burned him and he actually got scars from it. Ah, the life of a VACTERL baby. ANYWAY – Bag Balm is our friend basically. We love the stuff. And Gwen does too apparently. I found her on the couch once afternoon just going to town on the stuff. It was all OVER her!!!! And the can was a FULL, brand new can. GROSS. You could smell the Bag Balm all over the house.
Isn’t she lovely?
This was after one attempt at washing. And we went with the big guns, no baby shampoo for this one. We used dish soap hoping it would cut through the Vaseline ick.
No such luck. This was wash #2/
She looked greasy for about three days. With multiple washes a day. And she smelled like bag balm FOREVER.
Ah, kids. They’re awesome. They are truly living proof that what doesn’t kill you, only makes you stronger.

Random Photo Overload for August!
Selfies with Mom are so much fun!!!!
TWINS!!! I cried because I laughed so hard! Too funny.
The boys were snooping through some of Joe’s stuff and found this nifty drawing!
I don’t know, she’s just adorable.
Gwen was hiding from the sprinkler.
Gwen loves FaceTime with Daddy when he’s away in “Ho-Ha” (Omaha).
This was the best afternoon ever! They just sat and read for – ever!!!
That one time, when Travis had three pen pals and he really didn’t want to respond to any of them but he sure loved getting mail! Stinker…
Snuggles with Dad
Ice cream with Dad
Snoozing
Had fun with Gwen’s hair one day! She wouldn’t sit still for a photo though.
Love that cheese face!
That one time, when Gwen gave Anne-Marie two seconds of her time.
Can you see them? Yeah, we found about a dozen eggs in the window well one day. We thought Stripes was having issues because we hadn’t gotten eggs from her in over a week. Turns out, we didn’t have enough straw in her nesting box, they prefer a nice, soft, and cushy space for egg laying. So we added more straw and she then continued to lay in her box. Problem solved! It was too funny though!
Gah, she’s so adorable!
When the hubby is away, the wife gets bored of waiting for him to do projects around the house so she takes things into her own hands! Ladies & Gentlemen! My first time using drywall anchor screw thingies!!! HAHA! I was getting tired of the boys’ backpack hooks falling off the wall because tiny nails just do not support anything at all.
It’s so beautiful!! These were the photos I sent Joe! (Thanks goes out to Alana for giving us her adorable skateboard hooks!)
Sleepy tongue
Ran across this gem in my basement!!! Best buds for life! HAHA
Travis outdid himself at a friend’s house. Gwen and I were watching a movie with him and then he ditched us for a nap.
Cleaning the sliding glass door with Tutu.
She’s so sweet.
We had fun with pictures one afternoon! That hair!
Love selfies with my girl.
She enjoys playing in the backyard by herself sometimes.
Jammies and tennis shoes. True style at its best.
She has a purse caddy on her head. I guess it looked like an adorable hat?
Two minutes later, mismatched heels!
Gwen adores the Minions from Despicable Me. She really wanted to take this guy home but there was no way I was going to spend $46 on a stuffed toy/pillow. Good thing too because I found the exact same toy at Target for $10!!
Hugs for the Minion.
Trav’s old sneakers and footie pajamas? Why not?!
I always put my daughter on the counter top to model her cute outfits, don’t you?
Same adorable outfit with her boots from Grandmom!
Heading off to church!
Gwen and I love to watch our chickens roam the backyard.
She then hid so she could… well, do her business alone.
FaceTiming Daddy in Ho-Ha again!
Then there was that one time where I photographed a playground build for 8 hours!!!! It was a long day but oh so much fun! I met a lot of great new people, got to spend some time with friends and just had a blast shooting in midday light! HAHA! This was for the Vanguard East Campus – my kiddos attend the West Campus. It was a blast, I learned a lot, and felt blessed to volunteer my time.
