Enoch turned 8 just in time for the Scout Day Camp. He was SO excited! He did a ton of fun things and really enjoyed bonding with his fellow scouts. I volunteered to be an adult leader on day 1 and day 3. It’s a good thing I had a break in the middle because I ended up not drinking enough water the first day and came down with some major heat exhaustion the next day. It was awwwwwwfulllllll. Gwen and I sat around all day and did nothing. I even threw up a few times. BAD. DRINK WATER WHEN YOU’RE IN THE SUN PEOPLE!
Making his own dog tags.
Archery was definitely Enoch’s favorite. His leader Sister Pinky said he missed the target the first time but hit it the second. He was pretty impressed with himself.
Gwen was my little buddy both days and had fun bopping around in her backpack. She would eat snacks, drink her sippy, and sometimes watch a movie on my phone or watch PBS kids. She was fun.
Enoch & Ivan
They moved a ton of dirt! They did such a good job!
SO glad we brought extra shoes!
She’s just the cutest little thing! Stretching her legs for a bit.
Travis got to attend the mini camp, he LOVED it! He’s such a brave kid when it comes to stuff like this. He attended both days and had a blast.
AJ, Ivan, Enoch, & Camden – They were building their rocket ships!
Anne-Marie and I palled around all day too! It was so fun!! We laughed a ton!
Helping the boys with their ships.
Me and my boys. Love these two! I still can’t believe I have a SCOUT!
Silly faces!
Travis, Enoch, & Ivan
Gwen eventually fell asleep, poor thing. The backpack was such a great idea, so glad we have this thing!
First year at Scout Day Camp was a success! Until next year.
