Six? Yep, six. Enoch turned six yesterday. Unbelievable. He'll be starting 1st grade in the fall. I was shocked last year with kindergarten but now first grade? What?!
I don't feel old, not yet at least. I'm still in that, "Oh my gosh this is so weird" stage. I mean, come on. We just brought him home as a baby like yesterday!
Enoch is still one of the nicest kids you'll come across. Most of the time anyway. If you catch him on a "I'm tired and exhausted because I ran around the place like a banshee with my cousins for like 6 hours last night" kind of day, you might think he's a bit of a drama queen. Enoch cares about the people around him and their feelings. He loves to ask questions about everything. He's a smart kid. He's impatient about everything. He loves his veggies and fruits which is a huge blessing. He still has a special place in his heart for elephants. He loves being a big brother and is so excited about having a new sibling soon. When we first shared the news about the new baby, his first question was, "Does it still look like a cell?". He loves his friends with a passion, he will defend them til the death. He loves going to church and he loves his CTR 5 teacher. He loves to sing in primary and give talks too. Enoch is still very much the best helper on the planet. Sometimes he's a little too eager and hinders more than he helps but his efforts are appreciated.
We knew he was strong as a baby, going through three surgeries but now that he's been through a surgery at an older age, we definitely know he's made of sterner stuff. Dealing with a surgery that would make a grown man freak out a little and doing it with flying colors! He's an awesome kid and we've been so blessed to have him in our family.
Enoch, we love you and the 6 years that we've spent with you. We hope to have many, many eternities with you.
Love you!!
