We received a phone call on Christmas Eve that Lawry’s brother-in-law had passed away. There was no question that we would be attending the funeral.
We left for Utah on the 29th of December.
David Luck joined us on the ride down and it was actually a lot of fun. The kids both did really well on the drive and we really couldn’t complain.
The funeral was good. There is so much talent on both sides of this family, I’m just amazed every time we visit. It was really nice to finally meet a lot of the family on Lawry’s side. I always hear so much about them.
I didn’t take many pictures while we were there, sorry. Sometimes I’m really good with that and others, I’m just not.
We spent New Years with Bonnie’s side of the family at the Hawaiian Cultural center in Brighton. I think that's where it is? We had a good time talking, dancing, and eating. There was wonderful music and great company.
I was able to get my haircut this trip by Naomi, YAH! LOVE YOU GIRL! And we were able to see Eve and her cute little family. Eve, you KNOW you’re my buddy when we’re out there. ;D
The 1st of January was Auntie Bonnie’s birthday so we were able to spend that time with her and celebrate with family, friends, good music and fun times. Todd, we love you and hope you’re feeling better!!!
Joe and I took the kids down to Provo to meet up with a few friends we hadn’t seen in ages. His friend Nate lives there and my friend Ambrosia does as well. It was really good to see them both and to know that they are doing so well. We hope to see them in the near future.
We also visited a childhood friend of mine, Laura, and her family. She is due in February with her third child and its such an exciting time for them. It was so good to see them again and to catch up. I have so many fond memories of their family. We had made a visit a few years ago when Enoch was little, little but her sister Emily wasn’t there so it was really nice to see her this time around. They all look so beautiful and happy!
The drive home was roomier, because David was dropped off in Provo where he lives, but I think it was a little less entertaining. We all were a little grumpy coming home, but we made it safely. We will miss our family and friends in Utah. Until next time…
