Pachyderm Painting – Zoo Trip

The Denver Zoo had Pachyderm Painting for a week at their pachyderm exhibit. Most of you know that Enoch adores elephants, so, when I read about this in the monthly flyer, I knew we had to go, no excuses.

I’m SO glad that we did! Enoch loved it! Bonnie came with us so she and Travis hung out at the back of the HUGE CROWD while Enoch and I pushed our way to the front for the perfect view and easy spot for pictures. I’ve also posted pictures from the rest of the visit. Enjoy!

Mimi & Dolly are their names. Mimi is 50 years old and Dolly is 40 years old. Dolly was the first to paint. She was SO cute! She would sort of, slap/beat the paintbrush on the board sideways, it was SO neat. She took a bow after she was done. :D

This is Mimi ^ Patiently waiting her turn to paint.

Finally, it was Mimi’s turn! She needed a little help, so the zoo people did most of it for her, but she did an awesome job!

Dolly watched Mimi paint and then decided she was going to try and get some more attention from everyone. Too cute!

The finished product and Enoch! The 2nd picture is his, “Mom, stop taking pictures of me!”

I love these pictures. ^ I’m going to blow them up and frame them. My favorite is the 2nd picture though, because he’s explaining something to her with his gestures. :D

Checkin’ out the Seals. That’s Bonnie & Travis, they looked like that for most of the Zoo trip. :D

They had a few tables set up around the Zoo this trip where the kids could actually touch stuff. This was an actual snake skeleton.

And last but not least, the Snow Leopard. These guys are BEAUTIFUL. Funny thing though, he was sleeping and 2 mice decided they would come and finish his left overs. Do you see both of the mice??
