Okay, so if you know me well, you know that I'm not a huge fan of seafood. Since I have met Joe, I have discovered that I love shrimp! Then I had an unfortunate event of over-eating at Red Lobster and revisited my dinner later that evening. Since then, I have slowly regained my taste for Shrimp.
Well, it is a birthday tradition in Joe's family for Tutu & Papa (Joe's Grandparents) to take everyone out to eat at Red Lobster. Joe usually orders the Ultimate Feast. Those of you who do not visit Red Lobster too often, this PLATTER contains Maine Lobster tail, crab, shrimp, etc.

Everything really. In recent trips, Joe has let me taste his lobster and I actually enjoyed it.
This last trip to Red Lobster for Bonnie's birthday proved to be the most entertaining. Joe ordered his usual Ultimate Feast and I decided to eat my own lobster tail. I ended up ordering the Live Maine Lobster and I didn't expect to see what they brought me. Before this evening, I had only ever seen the lobster TAIL. Instead, I saw this:

My face immediately did this:

I think everyone at the table noticed, including our waiter. I had NO idea they brought you the WHOLE darn thing!!! Whiskers and all! Good grief. The next ten minutes involved Joe asking me ten times if I just wanted to eat his tail, no, just crack this thing open for me and I'll eat it. Are you sure honey? You can have my tail and I'll eat this guy. No, no, really. I'm fine. Just please open it for me.
I am happy to say, I ATE him. He was really good. I did however relinquish the claws to Bonnie. After all, it was her birthday. Since the waiter overheard my argument with my husband, they took the lobster off our bill and gave me free dessert. I told the young man that it really was okay and the lobster did after all get eaten but he informed me that Red Lobster prides themselves in excellence and even though I had no idea what I was ordering, they still wanted to make the dinner was satisfactory for me. THANK YOU RED LOBSTER!

I love the face. I am so proud of you. Sometimes when it comes in as a whole lobster I can't even do it. I don't know why if I know what it is and see the animal I can't do it. Like the time that I ate cows toung all I could see is the cow chewing its cud and that was enough for me. Way to go Natalie!!!
I love this story!! I feel like I was right there! I wish I could of really seen your face, it would of been great! I am completely amazed that you ate that whole beasty lobster! Congratulations!!! =0) I would of given it away! OR only picked at it a bit...then given it away.
Debbie Davis =0)
Looks so delicious! I love lobster, but crab is even better! Have you had crab?
Oh My Gosh! If I could be a fly on the wall to really hear the words between you and Joe. Nice funny face, it's creeping me out.
