A trip to Utah for Uncle Bob’s funeral–June 2013

June to Aug 2013 127
Lawry’s brother in law, Bob, passed away last summer. Bob is married to Lawry’s sister, Maryann.
Lawry, Bonnie, Enoch, Travis, Gwen, and I, hopped in a car and road tripped it to Utah for the funeral. Joe flew in that same night since he had worked.
I only took a handful of photos to remember the trip. I didn’t take any at the funeral. I never want to be that person, snapping iphone photos at a life event instead of enjoying the event and the people.
It was a beautiful service and it was lovely to see so many family members that we hadn’t seen for a while.

Gwenevere turned 6 months the day we left. She was a very pleasant baby to travel with. Just slept and ate the whole time. Her brothers entertained her when she was actually awake.

How she spent most of the trip, cuddling her monkey and snoring.

This is when you realize why iPads were invented. To keep your kids entertained while traveling!
Enoch is always surrounded by stuffed animals. If you think about it, he’s smart! More animals for cushy sleeping positions.

This is the best rest stop I’ve ever seen. And its in Wyoming. I love it! And there was like a mini museum inside of the building. It was a nice little break for everyone.

That’s Travis, sleeping with a sucker in his mouth.

Gwen got a little restless on the last hour of the trip but we quickly remedied that with The Lorax. She really enjoyed all of the singing.

It was Father’s Day while we were in Utah so we snapped this photo for Joe and my Dad! I have three of the CUTEST kids ever!

I had to get this photo. Bonnie was on the phone and Gwen was just so content sitting there and listening to her chat.

All around, we had a really good trip. Yes, it was for sad circumstances but I truly love how funerals bring families together again. We celebrated a wonderful man and his amazing life. I’m happy that I had been able to meet him.
Love to Maryann and her family. Til we meet again Uncle Bob. Love you.
