We had a very quiet and relaxed Thanksgiving this year. Just the way I think we like it. Bonnie flew to Utah to be with her parents and family out there for Thanksgiving and also to drive Tutu & Papa back home from Utah. They had a really good time. We had a pre-Thanksgiving dinner the night before with my family which was loads of fun and it was the last time we all saw Lauren pregnant. Thursday, Joe got up and played football with the guys while Lawry and I did some cooking. We had a really nice and simple Tday luncheon with Lawry and then we took off for Olathe! What followed was a fun filled 3 days with the Hortons! We got to Delta around 9:30, did some walking around Wal-Mart with Rocky for a bit and then followed them home. The boys went nuts once we got to their house. Just nuts. They were running around like banshees until midnight!
Friday was nice and lazy. We hung out, the boys got up early and did some shopping after Enoch’s visit with Rocky at the clinic. Then once they got home, Janna and I took off for some Black Friday shopping. We went super late in the day but there were still some good deals left. Then after shopping, we came back and made a late Thanksgiving dinner which was delicious! We definitely slept well on full tummies that night.
Saturday, Joe, Enoch, Rocky & Hunter got up bright early to go fishing. Turns out, it was a surprise ice fishing trip! They all had a really good time and came home with tons of fish to show for a long day.
Sunday was nice, we went to Rocky & Janna’s ward. Travis was SO excited to go to nursery with his buddy Hunter once again. He just marched right in, told the leader his name was Travis and that he was 3 and was good to go! Enoch had a little bit of a tough time. He wasn’t too sharp on going to primary but he was able to go with Konner and his class and that made Enoch feel a little better. By the end of church, he really enjoyed himself. Rocky and Janna have a really sweet ward and it was nice to visit! After church, they fried up the fish filets they caught the day before and we had a scrumptious lunch before we headed home.
Travis & Hunter just enjoying each other. They play SO well together, it was fun to listen to them and their BIG ideas.
Tayler was SO much fun to cuddle, kiss and squeeze the whole time were there. She is such a pleasant baby and I’m so jealous! So cute. Her baby blues and red hair just make her so much more yummy! And will one day be a “lady killer” according to the crazy lady at Target! HA. How could anyone mistake this gorgeous girl for a boy?! WITH the little red bows on her shirt to boot! Haha. Gave Janna & I a good laugh.
The guys fileting the fish. Didn’t think you could filet trout but here’s the proof! Enoch was SO helpful.
Love that face! Haha.
Fish guts and scales! YUMMY!
Only the cutest Christmas tradition ever, painting Christmas ornaments with buddies. The boys loved doing this and we may have to steal the Horton’s tradition!
The view I woke up to every morning. All three of the are the best cuddlers ever. Couldn’t complain.
Enoch was THRILLED to see that cows lived SO close to Rocky & Janna. He was super jealous. He really wanted to pet them but these cows were SO shy, they just kept wandering away. There was also a Rooster wandering around the property that Enoch chased a time or two. The kid was in heaven. He’ll be a farmer or a zoologist or a veterinarian one day for sure. He just adores animals.
Look at that big old happy face! COW!
Best Friends for life, obviously. ; )
Joe doing Trav’s hair for church. Made me melt so I had to snap a photo. We don’t get to see Joe on Sunday mornings very often so this was nice. Love you babe!
And the coolest picture ever! Enoch & Konner ice fishing like MEN!!! They loved it. Can’t wait to do it again I’m certain!
Thank you to the Hortons for opening your home and your hearts to us! We just love and adore you! Here’s to many more memory making trips in the near future!
