MRI, labs and neurosurgeon clinic visit

I jotted all these down while we were in the hospital.

This post is from March 29th – the day before his surgery.

Today we're at Children's for Enoch's MRI, labs (which they took when he was sleeping for the MRI) and a clinic visit with his neurosurgeon Dr Handler and the nurse practitioner.
Enoch did awesome for his MRI. He was a little nervous about the gas mask but Joe helped him calm down his breathing and everything else went pretty smooth. He was in he MRI for about an hour so Joe and I had some lunch while we waited.
He was still under when they let us back in to see him, snoring away! He woke up a few minutes later, had some crackers and some juice, then they sent us on our way. He even got to ride in a wheel chair.

He was pretty nervous before he started...

All he cared about afterwards was eating and making sure I took a picture so Travis could see his iv. (Travis got to stay with my parents for the day)

Enoch really enjoyed the wheelchair. He liked maneuvering it himself.

They had arts and crafts tables set up in the lobby for the kids to participate in. Enoch was still a little drowsy and moving in slow motion but he enjoyed the crafts.

Enoch's labs came back looking great!
Our visit with Dr Handler was brief and positive. Enoch's surgery will be at 7:30 am tomorrow so we have to be at the hospital by 5:30 am. Early day!
Enoch's incision should be relatively small. He'll have to lay flat for 24 hours and then he should be up and around the next day. He should be discharged sometime Saturday, it just depends on how he looks and feels.
Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers! We love you all.

Little kid's hospital gowns are so cute and fun! We need those for delivering those little ones! ;)

Children's Hospital is so great. It seems so bright and colorful, and I love that they had Easter crafts that day. Uber cute bunny!
