Joe’s family goes to Lake Powell every year. Lots of family, tons of fun, and there’s even a house boat involved. Joe and I went the first year we were married and that was such an awesome experience for me. I had grown up doing a lot of camping but had never done it on a beach. This year was so much fun. Each family had an assigned night to make dinner for all who was there, a few families (including ourselves) had tents on the beach and the rest of the family slept on the house boat. It was so nice and relaxing. I also just adore Joe’s family. They are so much fun and they are so laid back. Its hard not to relax around them.
Here are just a few of the photos that we took while we were out there. I hope we get to attend every year after this. It was a much needed break, especially after Joe had been called to be the Bishop of our ward. The kids also had a blast. Travis loved the sand and Enoch could not stay out of the water.
And yes, I shaved the boys heads the day we left for Powell. I thought they were so cute!
