The Bucket - July 24th, 2013

It’s a hot day in July, the boys are playing with the water in the back yard, Gwen and I are inside getting dinner ready and all of a sudden, I hear Travis screaming like crazy! He runs inside and says, “Mom! Enoch is stuck! You HAVE to help him!” I come running outside thinking he’s stuck in the tree, or underneath the wheel barrow or something. This is definitely NOT what I was expecting to see when I came outside. Enoch is stuck in a 5 gallon bucket. He is just crying. He looks pretty upset in the first photo but he was worried his legs were going to fall off. I asked him once we got him out if it hurt him at all and he said no, he just didn’t want his legs to fall off! And he was pretty upset at me for taking photos. I just had to document this!!
So, we rescued Enoch from the bucket. His legs didn’t fall off, no bruises, no scrapes, only a little bit of embarrassment and relief. He could keep his legs after all.
I love this kid.
Needless to say, he has never gone near a five gallon bucket since.

He could work for the circus. I didn’t think anyone could squeeze into a bucket like that!
