Don’t worry, I know Halloween is actually on Monday but, we had our Trunk-Or-Treat tonight along with our Ward Party. It was SO much fun! We combined with both the Spanish Wards that meet in our building. There were SO many people there, SO many fun costumes, and a TON of laughs. Joe and I had a really great time and the boys loved it. They also served nachos and homemade Horchata which was AMAZING. Best Halloween yet.
Just so you know, I spent the majority of the evening hearing this question, “So, what are the boys supposed to be?”. Does no one watch PBS anymore? Haha. I didn’t mind, really.
Enoch & Travis decided this week that they wanted to be the Wild Kratts. The Kratt Brothers, Kratt’s Kreachers? Zoboomafoo anyone? HELLO? : )
Joe and I actually grew up watching these guys. They are two brothers, Martin & Chris, a Zoologist & a Biologist, and they know just about everything there is to know about animals. They’ve been on PBS for years obviously and I’ve always loved watching them. They’re fun, quirky, and smart! Enoch & Travis watch them everyday, we DVR the shows as well so its on demand now and they can’t get enough. Travis calls them, “Wild Tapps!”. Its SO cute.
So, Zoboomafoo & Kratt’s Kreachers were Joe and I’s era.
Wild Kratts is the new and improved show. They are animated through half the episodes now and have “Kreacher Power” suits. This is what the boys wanted to do! I figured it was simple enough so we went to town!
They even know their names, Enoch was determined to be the blue one, Martin, while Travis luckily preferred Chris, the green guy. I thought they looked awesome! :D
Enoch, modeling off his suit. It was my last minute idea to sew the animals to them. Enoch thought it was the coolest idea ever.
I kept asking him if he was sure he didn’t want me to do his hair and he would respond, “MOM, Martin doesn’t do his hair so I’m not going to.”. OKAY.
Travis had just woken up from a nap and was not a happy camper. He was upset that he had to change clothes, he was mad that the animals were now attached to him, and he was ticked that I was asking for a photo. After I snapped the photos, he wanted to see them. He is so funny. He ended up having a really good night and was very happy with his loot.
Joe went as himself “Not Working”, he looked very nice and relaxed. I wore a sign on my shirt that said “Go Ceilings!!!”…..
I was a “Ceiling Fan”. ; ) Get it??
All in all, it was a nice and quiet Halloween. We enjoyed ourselves, the ward party, the goodies and our friends.
Happy Halloween!!
