Travis’s Last Preschool Easter Egg Hunt - April 18th, 2014

Travis had his last preschool Easter Egg hunt on a warm day in April. He had such a good time! They put the kids’ names on the eggs to help with name recognition and so everyone gets the same amount of eggs. He spent most of his morning with Adriana and his neighbor friend Joshua. They were all so cute and so excited about their eggs! It couldn’t have been a more perfect day for such a fun egg hunt!

The Hortons

The Hortons visited us in October. It was so nice to see them. My batteries get recharged when I get to see Janna. She is one of my best friends! Their visit was brief but fun. The kids got to reconnect, they just love each other, and Janna & I got to chill and just talk – no texting! We text CONSTANTLY, every day. I’m sure it drives our husbands bonkers but the two of us have a bond. Get over it. ; )

We always get a picture together every time we visit, which Janna always remembers to do. If it were up to me, I would probably forget and then later regret that I forgot. I truly cherish these photos we have together, I just love them! So thank you Janna, for remembering every time!

Gwen was checking out Rocky, I think she likes him! I wish I had taken more photos of this visit but it just didn’t happen because I was too busy enjoying their company. I hope we can make it out their direction soon. Hopefully in the warm summer months! So the boys can go fishing and the kids can just play outside All. Day. Long.

A Visit from Grandmom–4/14/14

My Mom stopped by one afternoon and hung out for a bit. Anyone who knows Gwen knows she’s one to keep her distance from people. She even has her moments where she doesn’t want her Dad. She’s just picky and knows what she wants. I’m sure it will come in handy for her.

This day, she just couldn’t get enough of Grandmom. They just cuddled and loved! It was so sweet.

Lately, she’s been extremely picky with people and who she will go to, including my Mom. So I wanted to post this to remind my Mom that she will come around, it just takes time. : )

Zoo Day - 04/11/14

There are just some days that require you to take your kids out of school for no reason at all except for a visit to the zoo. And when a Friday in April yields a perfectly gorgeous day, just for that, you don’t say no!

It wasn’t super busy, it was warm but not too hot, it was just us for the first half so we did things the lazy way. The boys scoped out the map, we lingered at exhibits, we took snack breaks, etc. It was perfect.

I just love how our Zoo has so many more elephants now. Enoch can definitely get his elephant fix every time we visit.

Later in the day, our friend Shannon arrived and hung out with us. Her little girl Evie is just the cutest! Travis gets along with her really well. Shan’s little Jackson was in the stroller.

On our way to the car, Enoch stubbed his toe pretty badly on a metal post that was barely sticking out of the ground. I piggy back carried him the remainder of the walk. Poor guy, he had blood everywhere.

The Nuggets as a Family!! 03/28/14

Every now and then, Joe takes a vacation day at work. Its been really nice because it seems they come right at the exact moment that he needs a break. He works so hard at work and at church, he deserves a little bit of down time here and there. Somehow, this particular vacation day worked out really well. His office also gave out tickets to the Nuggets game for the same day so we had a really fun family day! We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch, Joe’s favorite restaurant, drove around town doing some errands, and then Travis had soccer practice before the Nuggets game. It was the only soccer practice that Joe actually got to attend so it was fun. All in all, it was a great day and you can never have too much family time.

Relief Society Birthday - 03/21/14

My dear friend Anne-Marie is in charge of the activities for our Relief Society in our ward. She does such an amazing job that I just had to share. It was a wonderful night, filled with amazing ladies and the spirit. You do such a wonderful job Anne-Marie! I hope they keep you in this calling for a long time! Our ladies need you.
