Zoo Trip - July 9th 2013

We go to the zoo quite a bit and it really never gets old. The kids love it, I love it. Its relaxing and great exercise.

We met the new snow leopard Misha. What a cutie! She climbed up there all by herself.

Leopards have to be one of my favorites. They’re so pretty!

This kid sleeps all the time. All. The. Time. I envy the little guy. Snore on Travis, snore on.

This is how he sleeps WITH Joe & I IN the bed. Really kills our backs. Can’t wait until he’s a teen. I’m totally sleeping in his bed with him and rolling all over the place. I’m sure Joe will join me too. Gah.

Gwen loved being swaddled. If they made swaddle wraps big enough, I would swaddle her until she was 12. She slept SO good in those wraps.

Surprise Haircut July 2013

Enoch came to me one afternoon and said his hair had been bugging him, it kept getting in his eyes, so he just cut it. He was tired of it he said.

So I look at him and he’s cut his hair in ONE spot, to the scalp. It made me laugh. So we buzzed it all off because there just was no fixing it.

Enoch usually has a small meltdown when we cut his hair, he claims it hurts. This time though, he didn’t really mind it. I think he was just ready for a new do.

4th of July - July 2013

We had a really fun 4th of July! It was a good year and we did a lot.

I dressed Gwen up all red, white, and blue! She looked so cute! This dress is from Katrina, what a sweetie!

And yes, I dressed up to match Gwen. I just couldn’t help myself. It is so much fun to have a little girl.

We went to the 4th of July breakfast for our ward in the morning. We watched them raise the flag and we said the pledge of allegiance and sang the National Anthem. It was awesome.

Then we we headed to the theater! We saw Despicable Me 2! It was SO good and so, so funny! We all enjoyed it.

The boys had to pose with their favorites at the theater.

Can’t keep their hands off each other! Bonnie & Lawry came to this game with us. It was so much fun!

So this was one of the many fireworks displays they had. It was an amazing show! I believe there were over 30k fans in the stands. It was awesome.

Funny story though. The boys were so excited for the fireworks but once they turned the lights off in the stadium, Travis started to freak out. He did not want to be there and he wanted to leave right now. So he started screaming. Even though it was pretty loud in the stands, Travis was louder. And then the fireworks started! OH MAN! He was screaming as loud as he could to get him out of there and to turn those things off! I had to carry him half way up the stand to get away from the noise and then I held him with his ears covered for the remainder of the display. He really liked how they looked but he hated how loud they were. And he was pretty sure they were going to land on him. It really scared the poor little guy. Hopefully he grows out of it because we really enjoy fireworks shows! Haha. In the end, on the way home, he couldn’t stop talking about the fireworks. So I think a small part of him enjoyed it.

We really had so much fun at this game and their fireworks show was really great, it will be hard to beat in the future!

more OUTLAWS - june 29th, 2013

You’ll see a few more of these posts. I might have taken photos every time we went. The Outlaws were SO much fun. We enjoyed eating fun snacks, singing along with the fun songs, getting on the jumbo screen every time we attended, fun bandanas, fun haircuts to show support, making friends in the stands, and just some down right amazingly fun family time. We loved going to every game! And it didn’t hurt that they won every game we went to! It was such a blast! We really enjoyed being season ticket holders.

Enoch did so many different things with his bandana that night! He was fun.

Gwenevere tries baby food for the first time - June 2013

 

I had the camera out, all ready to go, waiting for those funny faces that usually follow the experience of baby food for the first time.

They didn’t really come with Gwen. She LOVED it! Even the peas & green beans. She just gobbled them. Every flavor. LOVE this girl!

Travis cracks me up. Every time I buy something new for Gwen, he gets so excited and wants to try it as well.

So he tried the sweet potatoes. He though they would be like pudding I suppose. He wasn’t a huge fan and told me Gwen could have the rest. ; )
